As many people knows The Unites States of America is going through a rough financial crisis, and it is urgent that the President and the correspondent agencies take care of the debt by finding a solution. During the past years politicians haven't made anything to end the debt, and they had focused on healthcare and foreign policies that didn't make any contribution to the U.S. In fact, those policies had increased our debt up to 20 trillion dollars, and they had produced government shutdowns.
The national government on this election should focus more on the national debt. Let’s get a little honest and clear. The United States of America aren’t that powerful anymore and its budget should be wisely used. The congress should cut a lot of the military spending that is around 598 billion dollars, and the presidential candidates should be thinking on improve America not on spend 60 billion dollars on a wall that will be totally useless. Honestly, on this presidential race I have heard more candidates attacking each other and either of them present a plan of how they will improve America. This morning I was looking for any U.S. government article and what I found was “FBI investigates Hillary’s emails” or “Trump taxes are unclear”. I am not a genius as you can see, but I don’t need to be a genius to know that the U.S. is falling a part and nobody sees to care about it.
Politicians should end filibusting the citizens of the U.S. I believe it would be a great idea to cut military budget and invest on new jobs since the tax are the primarily source of income to the U.S government. Also they should focus on education with education it comes the advance and new minds will emerge. The companies now in days demand high skill workers, so we need a better education system that don’t get us in a debt for life.
In conclusion, The United States of American isn’t that powerful anymore other countries are advancing faster that we are, so we should cut military budget, avoid useless expenses like wall and to try to create we jobs by improving our infrastructure and healthcare fields. We need to get seriousness about our democracy because the representatives we get to choose aren’t the adequate they should care more about our country and less on attacking others.

  2. I looked over many of classmate’s blogs and the one that caught my attention was yours because I agree with you. You’re totally right about we need to focus in education and trying to end this debt that we are in thanks to a fail of healthcare. I do believe that war is not the answer and that our president, senators and congress should try to work something out so this war and the military etc. ends.
I agree with you; I think the United States should focus on education because well sad to say but more than half the country didn’t know what was happening on November the 8th. I had many arguments with people that day, and lost many friends due to the elections and for me it was very upsetting because it was insane to realize that many of the people that I considered my friends were blind or uneducated you could say. Another thing that I want to add to this education and debt issue. It’s that president should work on giving free higher education at least until people could get a more decent paying job that could let them afford school if they want to go any higher. I have many friends that say that they want to go to college but they can’t because they can’t afford it, I know that there’s financial aid but there are people that don’t qualify for it and that have children that even though they get paid enough to maintain a family they don’t get enough to fulfill their dreams of maybe going back to school and do something with their life.
I found it a little comforting to see that I wasn’t the only to see that Trump’s and Hillary’s debates were a complete show because as hard to believe there’s people out here thinking that what they did was ok, and it wasn’t. It was entertaining but also sad to see that we had morons running to be our leaders. I don’t believe any of them were good candidates, and I believe we should’ve kept Bernie. And that’s exactly why education is so important, I feel that if people had been more informed or educated more people could’ve voted or could have been potential candidates but like you said the U.S is not that powerful anymore.

  3. I would like to start off by saying that there are some parts of Mr. Romo's article that I agree with, but then there are other parts that I absolutely do not. I very much agree that our nations debt should have been highly considered during this campaign. The candidates spent little to no time discussing actual policies, at least any realistic ones, and the media coverage failed to provide the american people any evidence of our candidates solutions. I also agree with Mr Romo's suggestion of placing more funding within our school systems. America is ranked relatively low in education when compared to the world, and a more educated public could lead to better policies and more informed elections. Also as Mr. Romo brought up, better funding in the schools could allow some great minds to develop and provide new, fresh ideas to better our Country. Now, I do not agree with Mr. Romo's idea that the current administration has left us in a "finical crisis". We are very much not still in the hole that former President George W. Bush left us in. Obama's white house has made huge strides in alleviating the finical burden we previously had. I also do not think Mr. Romo's accusation of Obama's administration focusing solely on healthcare and foreign affairs is accurate. While the majority of his work, at least what was most talked about, is in these fields, the current President has done quite a lot in all areas of American life. I do agree that we need to cut military spending, however, I am not sure how realistic this may be given the situations we have found ourselves in. Mr. Romo's argument that our representatives should focus more so on our country than on attacking each other rings very true. To make this country the super power we claim to be, we need representation that cares about, and focuses on it's people rather than re-election and advancement. The underlying message of Mr. Romo's article was very good, and I hope someday we will have a national government what truly works for our benefit as a whole, rather than themselves.
